The NWA, America’s longest running and most famous pro wrestling companies, comes to Ridgefield Park NJ. The show will be a TV taping for Time Warner cable in the Bergen county area. Featured on the show will be former 4 time world champion Sid Vicious. The 6 ft 10 inch 300 pounder is known as the man who rules the world. Sid, who debuted for the NWA in Rhode Island to a sell out crowd of 2000 fans, is leaving a trail of bodies on his quest for the NWA Championship. Also just signed for this big event is the return of New Jersey of former WWE, WCW & ECW Superstar “The Roughneck” Mr. Hughes. Hughes. The former bodyguard of Y2J Chris Jericho, has been seen in the area in quite some time and fans may not recognize him as Hughes is in the best physical condition of his life. Also signed for the event is a non-sanctioned, No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere, No Time Limit Lights Out Match for the NWA Pro East Championship as defending champion Judas Young puts his title on the line again against a man who I has become his most feared challenger and that is the mastodon known as FRANCIZ!!! 9 Months in the Making… Albright v. Pearce

May 22nd, 16 men were announced as potential suitors for the Heavyweight Championship of the World, after the title being stripped away from Christian Cage. Of the 16 competitors Brent Albright was highly favored to win out his brackets and face the winner between Adam Pearce and Bryan Danielson. And although Danielson won that match, Pearce would face Albright. Danielson who was injured in another title match for Ring of Honor, was made the special referee. Albright and Pearce battled back and forth but it was Pearce who would have his hand raised at the end. Albright disgusted by the decision seemingly disappeared from the NWA. Pearce would go on to defend his title against notable opponents Damien Wayne, Sean Waltman, and a handful of talented wrestlers from the Southern California area. It wasn’t until the NWA Showcase, that Albright made his intentions clear. That he wanted Adam Pearce. Albright battled through the rankings in the NWA to earn his title shot at Pearce. Pearce began attacking the challenger week after week. Unaffected by the cheap shots , was has been building for 9 months finally comes to a head.

World Heavyweight Championship match between “The Gunner” Brent Albright and “Scrap Iron” Adam Pearce.

Also scheduled to appear; The Man Who Rules The World, Sid, North American Champion Mike DiBiase, French Stallion, Tristan Gallo, Chaz Taylor and The Skullz.

All this takes place in Enid, Oklahoma on May 31st.

Press Release: Sid has signed with the NWA

Charlotte, NC (March 27, 2008) – The National Wrestling Alliance® is pleased to announce the addition of 4 time World Heavyweight Champion Sid Vicious to it’s regular roster. The announcement was made today during a conference call that was called by Vicious’ Management and NWA™ Director Ed Chuman also participating in the call were International Reporters from pro wrestling related publications and websites.

“I am happy to be associated with the NWA™. As you know I started with them some 20 years ago and I’m looking forward to our future. I have seen the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase and I am impressed with the program and the guys. The last 7 years have been extremely rough on me. I love this industry and to have that taken away from me when I was on top, well you can imagine how a hit like that feels. I’m coming in with the NWA™ to show the world that this will be the greatest comeback in pro wrestling – ever!” States Vicious.

Vicious starts his run on the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase on April 18, 2008 in Lincoln, RI at the Twin Rivers Casino and the following night April 19th at the Oceanfront Arena in Wildwood, NJ.

Additional to this news, the NWA™ and Colours TV (Dish Network Ch. 9407) has agreed to move the NWA™ Wrestling Showcase one hour ahead starting at 8:00 pm Eastern on April 2nd.
