NWA Worlds Champion in Ring of Honor?

At “Take No Prisoners” the NWA Worlds Title will be seen again by a live Ring Of Honor audience.

“Once more the ROH and NWA World Champions will share the ring, but this time in an international tag team contest. Just signed for “Take No Prisoners” on April 4th is the team of ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness and frequent partner, “The Most Money Making Man” Claudio Castagnoli versus “Shooter” Brent Albright and NWA World Champion Blue Demon, Jr. Albright has plenty of history with McGuinness and Castagnoli, as it could be argued that Castagnoli cost Brent the ROH Title. Blue Demon, Jr. wanted to face the best that ROH had to offer; and it doesn’t get any better than the ROH World Champion.”

As of the last tapings of the NWA Showcase, a partnership was seemingly developed between Blue Demon Jr. and Brent Albright. There mutual despise of Adam Pearce has brougth them closer together in Ring of Honor. And as Albright works for both the NWA and ROH, he has become the ambassador of good will to the Blue Demon Jr.

NWA Worlds Champion in Ring of Honor

It is being widely reported that Blue Demon Jr., reigning Worlds Champion, is scheduled to make his Ring of Honor debut. The NWA and ROH have worked together on numerous causes in the past, most specifically sharing the talents of Brent Albright, Bryan Danielson, and Adam Pearce. The NWA Worlds Title appeared on a Ring of Honor PPV, when Pearce hit Albright with a briefcase containing the championship belt. It was also the first time a PPV audience had seen the Legendary 10lbs. of Gold since the NWA ended his relationship with Total Non-Stop Action.

“ROH has confirmed the participation of the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr. on their upcoming PPV Take no Prisioners 2009 (to take place during the Wrestlemania XXV weekend). The promotion is also interested in Incognito, Lince Dorado and Pantera (Winners of the Chikara Pro King of Trios 2008).”

On Saturday September 20th at the Ring of Honor Pay Per View, “Glory By Honor” Adam Pearce defeated Brent Albright to regain the legendary 10lbs. of gold. Adam locked Brent in the Crowbar and forced the submission. This marks the second time the title has changed hands in Ring of Honor. This also marks the second time that Adam Pearce has worn the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship.
