Pepper Parks challenged “Hot Chocolate” Kory Williams for the vacant National Title. The belt was vacated recently due to the ankle injury that Chance Prophet suffered a couple of months ago. Perennial Loser Kory Williams lost the title to Chance on May 5th, 2007 . Prior to his defeat Kory Williams won the title in late September, 2006.

Pepper Park most recent spotlight came in the crowning of a new worlds champion tournament when he was defeated by Claudio Castagnoli in the first round. Parks has might big shoes to fill as Chance clearly elevated the title. During this time Chance gained a cult-following with his “Talkin’ Back With The Champ” video blog and his never say die attitude in the ring. Parks has mighty big shoes to fill, but a lot of fans are looking forward to his tenure as champion.
