NWA Pro/MIW presents: Friday Fight Night

MAIN EVENT
RockNES Monsters vs. Anchors Away-with newly crowned M1W Champion Willie Mack representing Mach-1 in San Francisco, the tandem of Johnny Goodtime and Johnny Yuma take center stage, hoping to spoil the M1W debuts of SoCal mainstays Anchors Away. Will the sea men be able to match up to the high intensity of the Mach-1 crowd favorites?

Bobby Jo Marshall vs. Andrew Hellman-Marshall has gone on record as saying that there is no competition for him here at Mach-1; a boast that Willie Mack proved otherwise when he took Marshall’s title last week. The Awesome Australian has gone on record as saying that Mack’s win was a fluke, and has vowed that if he loses to the red hot Andrew Hellman, he’ll leave Mach-1 and go back to his homeland. Does Hellman have the fuel, the fire, and the desire to fall this monster from down under? For Hellman’s championship aspirations, he’d better hope so.

James Morgan vs. Todd Chandler-Morgan’s frustration has only grown since losing the M1W Championship—a title he defended against the top talents in SoCal for over a year. Those frustrations grew more when he was pinned by the new M1W Champion Willie Mack last Friday night then attacked him during the 4 way elimination match. Todd Chandler coming in as the underdog, is looking for his second victory, one that would be sure to be an upset, against a highly motivated, perhaps even desperate former champion.

“Pretty” Peter Avalon (w/Mr. Biggz) vs. Mikey Callahan-In a short time, Callahan has begun to be a fan favorite in M1W. Certainly, he has the size and strength advantage over the cunning, crafty Avalon, but he’ll have to overcome two major factors in Avalon’s arsenal—his propensity to win at any cost, and the 300+ pound equalizer Mr. Biggz in his corner.

Sonny Samson vs. David Flex-Since arriving in M1W, Flex has been anything but bashful in showing off his impressive physique. Now he’ll have to rely on tools other than his strength in meeting up with one of the few men in Mach-1 who can out muscle him.

PLUS: In singles action: Kyle Webb v. Dan Moore

NWA Pro/Mach One Wrestling’s weekly “Friday Fight Night” comes to you live from the American Sports Center at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805. Bell time 8:05PM, doors open at 7:30. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for students w/ ID and children 12 and under.

NWA Pro/M1W Presents Friday Fight Night, February 5th!

NWA Pro/M1W presents Friday Fight Night on Friday, February 5th at 8pm in Anaheim, CA!

M1W Championship Match – 3 Way Elimination Match
Bobby Marshall (Champion) vs. “Red Tornado” James Morgan (Challenger) vs. Joey Ryan (Challenger)
– January 22nd: Joey Ryan made his M1W return and battled for the Championship against Bobby Marshall. Marshall retained the title after destroying Ryan’s knee and locked him in an STF and Ryan’s manager C. Edward Vanderpyle threw in the towel when Ryan refused to submit.

January 29th: James Morgan got his long awaited rematch to recapture the M1W Championship against Bobby Marshall. Marshall retained when Morgan was caught with an illegal object that Marshall brought into the ring but Morgan was able to wrestle away.

Both Ryan and Morgan contend that their losses were not legitimate and both want a rematch. With no love lost between Ryan and Morgan either, the M1W office and the NWA brass have come together and decided that the title will be decided on February 5th in a 3 Way Elimination Match.

Since arriving in America in November, Bobby Marshall has been unstoppable in the M1W ring, capturing the M1W Championship on December 18th and continuing to dominate week after week. Marshall has promised to take the M1W Championship back to Australia with him when he returns later this month. With chances to keep the M1W Championship in America running out, one would have to think that this is the best shot M1W, James Morgan and Joey Ryan have to make that happen.

M1W Tag Team Championship Match
The Natural Selection (Brian Cage & Shawn Rickers) (Champions) vs. Andrew Hellman & Sexy Sonny Sampson (Challengers)
– January 29th: Brian Cage & Shawn Rickers won in the finals of the 16 team tournament to become the first ever M1W Tag Team Champions. Although outlasting all 16 teams, Cage & Rickers made a statement saying “We beat 4 teams in the tournament but we could have beaten all 16, so any of the other teams that want to step up, we will take you down as well.” The first team to step up was the unlikely duo of Andrew Hellman & Sexy Sonny Sampson who found success as partners as they reached the quarterfinals in the tournament.

Scorpio Sky vs. Willie Mack
– A match with M1W Championship implications. You would have to think that the winner in this match would be in line for a future M1W title match. Even if they have to travel to Australia to get it!

The Cutler Brothers (Brandon & Dustin) vs. The RockNES Monsters (Johnny Goodtime & Johnny Yuma)
– Both teams found success in the M1W Tag Team Championship Tournament and now both look to get that momentum back into the tag team title picture.

Kyle Webb vs. Ryan Taylor
– Kyle Webb is seemingly getting more and more frustrated as each week goes by. His opponent this week will be the cool, calm and collected NWA Pro/EWF Champion Ryan Taylor. If Kyle Webb wants to be successful here, he needs to find a way to keep his emotions in check.

Dan Moore vs. “Pretty” Peter Avalon
– Since his arrival from Perth Australia and beginning his training under the guide of M1W trainers Joey Ryan & Johnny Goodtime, as well as special guest trainers like Brian Kendrick & Paul London, Dan Moore has seriously upped his game. He has even come close to beating Kendrick himself in an M1W ring. You know who doesn’t care about any of that? Peter Avalon!

Anaheim, CA (December 18, 2009) – With a capacity crowd in attendance at the American Sports Center, NWA: Explosive Pro Wrestling stand out pinned and ended the year long title reign of NWA: M1 Wrestling Champion “Red Tornado” James Morgan in 14:28.  Morgan used everything he had against Marshall, but with little scouting and time to prepare for his defense Marshall took him to the limits. The match started with a back and forth battle for dominance, but the stronger and bigger Marshall took the match outside the ring, tossing and banging Morgan against everything head first including a series of head shots into the corner post causing Morgan to be busted wide open. With the blood flowing, Morgan tried valiantly to keep his championship, but the powerful Marshall was just that; too powerful.  After winning the championship, Marshall stated: “I am no longer from Australia, I’m now from M1, M1 is my home, I am the King of LA. Look these people love it and you (David Marquez) love it too and like Red Tornado found out he was a puncher going up against a boxer and I beat him.”
The complete audio interview will be available soon right here on nwawrestling.com. NWA: M1 Wrestling has ended its year with this card and will return on Friday January 8, 2010.

Mach One Wrestling presents weekly “Friday Fight Night”, November 20th, 2009

M1W Championship: James Morgan(c) v. Scorpio Sky
-In a rematch from May, Scorpio Sky will get another shot at the M1W Championship this Friday. James Morgan, fresh off a successful title defense against “Pretty” Peter Avalon, will have his hands full against the “King of Sting” one more time!

Peter Avalon v. Todd Chandler
-Upset over the outcome in his M1W championship match, and Johnny Goodtime’s “interference”, Peter Avalon claims to have an ace up his sleeve to prevent any problems in the future and will bring it Friday against Todd Chandler.

Shawn Rickers v. Andrew Hellman
-Both Rickers and Willie Mack have been constantly calling the M1W offices begging for a chance to get their hands on the new, vicious, and out of control Andrew Hellman. Rickers have had problems with Hellman dating back 3 weeks with intentional disqualifications, and blindside attacks and Mack was just attacked by Hellman who was hiding under the ring after a victory over Johnny Yuma at the 11/13 “Friday Fight Night” card . After deliberating over the weekend, the M1W brass, with the NWA board of directors has decided to withdraw Hellman’s suspension, so he can return Hellman back to the ring… against Shawn Rickers.

Brian Cage v. Willie Mack
-As Willie Mack waits for his shot at Hellman, he will take on the man who made an impressive debut last week at “Friday Fight Night” as Willie takes on Brian Cage.

Plus:
Ric Ellis, Samson, Kyle Webb, and “Rock and Roll Rebel Soul” Johnny Yuma and more!

Mach One Wrestling rolls into our third week of “Friday Fight Night” with the announcement of our October 30th Halloween Celebration card which takes place at the American Sports Center at 1500 S. Anaheim Blvd., Anaheim, CA 92805 and have a weekly bell time of 8:00PM. Tickets are $6 or $3 with a student ID and for children 12 and under.

Friday, October 30th, 2009 — Card Announcement

— M1W’s Halloween Celebration! All fans in attendance wearing Halloween costumes will receive a free gift bag of candy and be able to enter a costume contest in which the winner receives a free pass to the following “Friday Fight Night” show.

Main Event – Tag Team Grudge Match
“Pretty” Peter Avalon & “Magnum” Joey Ryan vs. Johnny Goodtime & M1W Champion “Red Tornado” James Morgan

— The NWA Board of Directors along with the M1W brass have decided to reschedule the first “Friday Fight Night” main event as an act of faith to the loyal fans who came to see it when it was originally scheduled. The issues have not been settled between these four men and in fact, things may have even become more volatile with James Morgan getting a momentary bit of revenge on October 23rd after all the sneak attacks he has suffered at the hands of Joey Ryan. Add that to the unfinished business between Peter Avalon and Johnny Goodtime stemming from the Long Beach Comic Con and we are in for one explosive main event.

Return Match
Andrew Hellman vs. Shawn Rickers

— After not being able to finish off Shawn Rickers on October 23rd, Andrew Hellman took a walk and left the match opting to be counted out rather than face the possibility of a pin fall loss due to a lack of preparedness. The NWA Board of Directors and the M1W brass were quick to sign the rematch between these two to hopefully get a decisive outcome. On October 30th, we will see if Rickers has Hellman’s number or if Hellman will make the most of his extra week to prepare.

Human Tornado vs. Ric Ellis

— Ric Ellis had an impressive victory in his M1W debut. So impressive in fact that The NWA Board of Directors and the M1W brass want to test him already and have signed a match against fan favorite and world traveler Human Tornado! Ellis has seemingly been pushed into the deep end and it’s up to him to sink or swim.

Tag Team Match
The Ballard Brothers (Shannon & Shane) vs. David Flex & Gregory Sharpe

— The events of last week were not kind to David Flex and Gregory Sharpe. They were matched up in a handicap match against Terex but that wasn’t the worst of their night. The worst came when Flex walked out on his partner leaving Sharpe to take the brunt of Terex’s assault. Apparently Flex & Sharpe worked out their differences as they requested to once again be given a shot at teaming up. However, their task this week doesn’t get any easier as they face off against long time SoCal veterans; The Ballard Brothers!

Todd Chandler vs. Tommy Wilson

— Both men competed at the debut “Friday Fight Night” card. Tommy Wilson to a win and Todd Chandler to a loss. Both men have a lot to gain from this encounter. Wilson wants to prove he is a viable contender for M1W gold and Chandler doesn’t want to see his stock plummet down the ladder any further.

Kyle Webb vs. Johnny Yuma

— Kyle Webb made his debut as the student of Joey Ryan but was soon abandoned by his teacher and left to feel the wrath of a scorned James Morgan. This week Webb looks to start his own path but must contend with Johnny Yuma who himself suffered a loss at the debut “Friday Fight Night” event and looks to add a W to his Win-Loss record.

Main Event – M1W Championship Match
“Red Tornado” James Morgan © vs. “Magnum” Joey Ryan

The second “Friday Fight Night” Main Event is a match that the NWA Board of Directors and The M1W brass can no longer deny. Not only is the richest prize in M1W on the line, but both men have been at each others throats as of late, so there are many combustible elements in this one.

“Slick” Nick Jackson (of The Young Bucks) vs. Ryan Taylor

Women’s Match
Aiden Riley vs. Kitana Vera

Drew Hellman vs. Terex

Willie Mack vs. Charles Mercury

Malachi Jackson vs. Jerome “LTP” Robinson

Johnny Goodtime was able to best Peter Avalon in a singles match and Avalon has been griping to whomever will listen that he would like another shot at Goodtime. Meanwhile after Joey Ryan was able to sneak a win over Scotty 2 Hotty, he would spoil M1W Champion James Morgan’s victory celebration over Paul London by attacking Morgan post match claiming “the clock is ticking” on Morgan’s title reign. Ryan has been itching to get another shot at the championship after Morgan bested him in the tournament to crown the inaugural champion. The NWA Board of Directors have worked with the M1W brass to sign this Tag Team Grudge Match as the Main Event of the first “Friday Fight Night.”
